Board of Directors

The activities of the ACAIA are guided by a board of directors.

Any ACAIA member in good standing is entitled to nominate an individual, including themselves, or to be nominated for election as a director of ACAIA.  Nominations for election as a director are subject to any policy regarding elections that may be established by the board pursuant to  the by-laws.  Elections are held during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of members.

The current board of directors, whose terms began at the close of the first AGM on February 10, 2026, comprises the following individuals:

• Denis Marquis, based in New Brunswick - 2 year term

• Don Maynard, based in Prince Edward Island - 1 year term

• Mike Atkinson, based in Nova Scotia - 1 year term

• Jillian Bieser, based in Nova Scotia - 2 year term

• Ian Stewart, based in Nova Scotia - 2 year term
