By-laws, Rules, and Regulations

The activities of the ACAIA are governed by the by-laws, which are available here.

In addition, the board of directors may prescribe rules and regulations relating to the management and operation of the ACAIA.  Any rules and regulations will be posted here. 

By-Laws

General by-laws were established by the incorporating directors to enable the Association to conduct its business.  The general by-laws were drafted using the by-law template provided by Corporations Canada, with adjustments for our Association, drawing also on the by-laws of the other IA associations across Canada.  The general by-laws were reviewed by the incorporating board, and also by a lawyer to provide a high-level review with a legal lens.  The general by-laws were confirmed at the first Annual General Meeting of the members on February 10, 2026.
