Celesa Horvath is owner and principal consultant with Ventus Development Services Inc., providing strategic consulting services in Environmental / Impact Assessment (EA/IA), Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Responsibility, and Sustainable Development.  

She has been involved in federal, provincial, and territorial EA/IA and regulatory processes across Canada (and internationally) for more than 35 years, guiding public and private sector proponents through the often-complex interplay of legal requirements, stakeholder and participant expectations, practical challenges of science and consultation, resourcing constraints, and other factors to build robust strategies and defensible documentation that stand up to intense public and legal scrutiny. 

She is the founder of the Canadian Impact Assessment Practitioners Network and the Atlantic Canada Association for Impact Assessment.  She is the President-Elect of the International Association for Impact Assessment.  Ms. Horvath is also a leading advocate of and executive advisor related to corporate responsibility and sustainability in Canada acknowledged by her inclusion in Canada’s Clean50 (www.clean50.com).
