The purpose of the Atlantic Canada Association for Impact Assessment (ACAIA) is to improve the quality of impact assessment (IA), including processes, methods, and outcomes, and to promote its effective use to support better planning and decision-making.
This will be achieved by providing a forum for parties interested and engaged in IA in Atlantic Canada to engage, learn, innovate, and collaborate with each other and like-minded organizations and people.
ACAIA was federally incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in August 2024 and is an affiliate of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA).
